Memorial Day: Our prayers go out for all those in the military who have given their lives for their country, for us. Hope you all were blessed with a fine Memorial Day holiday!
Yes, Fr. Patrick is smiling even though you can’t see that with his mask on. It was our first weekend back with 4:00, 9:00 and noon Masses. Thanks to all the team who helped welcome us, take our temperature, got us to our seats, and did all kinds of sanitizing efforts!
One of the surprises inside church were the new shining rays emanating from Jesus on the crucifix. We have Paul Billion’s craftmanship to credit for that. THANKS, Paul!
BUT, one thing has not changed! We did get our Holy Homework from Fr. Patrick.
For Holy Homework this week, please take time to pray with Ephesians 2:1-10 and particularly meditate on the reality verse 6 tells us — that we’ve been seated in heavenly places in Christ! Also, let’s keep asking for more of the Holy Spirit as we pray the Novena to the Holy Spirit in preparation for Pentecost.
Oh, yes, the Novena! Today we are already on Day 5 of the nine days of preparing ourselves for Pentecost.

Another new thing that has not changed is that we need people to REGISTER for the EACH weekend’s Masses so that we have enough safety precautions in place … and enough places for those who wish to attend. Next weekend we celebrate the 50th and final day of the Easter Season with the Feast of Pentecost, the dramatic coming of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles. Our Masses will continue to be at 4pm on Saturday and 9am and noon on Sunday, May 30th and 31st.

A few special notes from Fr. Patrick:
With the Governor extending the Stay Home, Stay Safe Executive order to June 12th, parish offices will remain closed but we are checking messages and still trucking along!
A reminder that we now have extra daily masses in addition to the regular 8:30am Monday through Thursday. Monday & Wednesday we have a 12:15pm lunchtime mass. Tuesday & Thursday we will have a 6pm Evening mass. Church doors will be open 30 minutes prior to mass. No reservation needed for daily mass. For those who may have never attended daily mass, it's a shorter mass (about 35 minutes max) and a wonderful shot in the arm.
Please know there is absolutely no pressure on you to return to mass. We support you doing what is best for your health and those you live with! When the time is right for you to return, you'll know; please don't feel any pressure in that regard.
Do you have questions about the feast of Pentecost? Join us for a live webinar with Scripture scholar Dr. Tim Gray on Formed.org.
Closing with a very special request. Do you know someone who is quite ill? Someone who is home-bound? Someone who is lonely? Visiting them may not be appropriate or safe, BUT, please pray for them AND give them a call. And for those of you (and them) who are younger, there are so many ways for you to contact them with the latest and greatest media. You might even want to “gang up on them” and get some others to give them calls as well! Thanks already!
Blessings for you on each and every moment of each and every day! Dcn Paul
